There is no upload: The work happens in this tab. Your file never travels, so there is no copy of it anywhere but your own disk.
Nothing to delete later: Sites that upload promise to delete your file afterwards. That promise only matters because the file was theirs to hold.

Why this one stays private

The texts people compare are contract drafts, code and edited manuscripts - two versions of something private. Online diff checkers receive both. This compares them in the tab and sends neither.

Line, word or character?

Lines for code and data, words for prose, characters for spotting a single changed digit in an ID or a number.

Can it ignore case or whitespace?

Yes - both are options, so re-indented code or a capitalised word does not count as a change.

Is there a size limit?

No server means no upload limit. Very long texts take a moment longer.
