Do videos have GPS data?

Phone videos usually do. iPhones write the position as a coordinate string in the file's header, Android phones in a location box, and action cameras and drones often record a whole GPS track alongside the picture.

Can it read a video my browser cannot play?

Yes. Only the file's header is read, never the picture, so HEVC, MKV and AVI files that will not play in the browser can still be inspected.

How big a video can it handle?

Any size. Only the few kilobytes that hold the metadata are read; the rest of the file is not loaded into memory.
